Kilkenny is set for a celebration of motoring nostalgia this weekend as Kilkenny Motor Club hosts its ‘Annual Classic and Vintage Show’.
The event takes place at St James’ Park, R95 AP92, on Sunday, August 30, with a wide range of classic and vintage vehicles expected to be among the main attractions.
This year’s feature car is the BMW 3 Series, giving fans of the hugely popular model another reason to make the trip.
However, the day will offer much more than a display of cherished motors. Organisers are promising a major family day out, with a dog show, book stall, bric-a-brac, musical entertainment, automobilia and trade stands, along with more attractions on the day.
Admission is €5 for members of the public, while admission is free for classic and vintage vehicles. Complimentary refreshments will also be provided for those bringing classic and vintage vehicles to the show.
The annual event provides an opportunity for enthusiasts to show off their prized vehicles while giving visitors the chance to get a close look at cars and other vehicles from years gone by.
With the BMW 3 Series in the spotlight and a programme designed to appeal to both dedicated motoring fans and families looking for a Sunday outing, organisers are hoping for a strong turnout in Kilkenny.
The Kilkenny Motor Club Annual Classic and Vintage Show takes place at St James’ Park, R95 AP92, on Sunday, August 30, 2026.
