Kilkenny music night fundraiser proved to be a huge success

From the community notes inside this week's Kilkenny People
Well done to all involved in the music night held in St Senan’s Church on Friday night in aid of Rosedale Residential Home and the Kilmacow Branch of St Vincent de Paul.
The church was full to capacity as the pupils from St Senan’s National School led out the night’s musical fare under conductor and teacher Ms Kent.
Then conductor Adrian O’Keeffe introduced the Cois Nore Choir who gave a rendition of well-known favourites as well as songs suited to the individual voices in the choir.
Guests on the night included Damien O’Sullivan and Tommy Grant, Bernie Moloney and Mary Phelan who played a variety of traditional music.
Liam Tobin, Chairman of Rosedale, thanked everyone for the great support received for the night.
He thanked the choir for the great entertainment provided, Adrian and his family for their support work for the event, St Senan’s National School, guest singers and musicians.
The funds raised will be split evenly between Rosedale and St Vincent de Paul. He applauded those who had the vision in the mid-1980s to set up the residential home which now provides accommodation in the Main House, Chalets and in the Mews.
