Kilkenny name side for Allianz League Final meeting with Clare
The Kilkenny team to face Clare in Saturday evening's Allianz League Hurling Final has been named with Richie Reid coming into the team as the only change from the semi-final success over Limerick.
Reid replaces Cillian Buckley who misses out on the squad altogether as Derek Lyng goes with a consistent selection as the Cats look to win a first league title on their own since 2018.
There's another opportunity for the likes of Shane Murphy, Jordan Molloy and Luke Hogan to impress while the likes of Walter Walsh, Conor Heary, Mikie Butler, Mikey Carey and Tom Phelan remain sidelined.
Clare have also named their team and it sees a return to the bench for Shane O'Donnell and David McInerney as the two counties meet in a repeat of their round four meeting which saw the Banner County emerge victorious in Ennis.
The game throws-in from Semple Stadium, Thurles at 7.15pm and is live on TG4.
