Ladyswell Street in Thomastown "will be closed to vehicular traffic from Monday (February 16) to Sunday (February 22) daily from 8am to 9pm approximately," according to Kilkenny County Council

Roadworks are set to recommence on Ladyswell Street in Thomastown in County Kilkenny on Monday, February 16.

Works on the street had commenced back in January and were conducted during evening/night hours but were put on hold following concerns in the area over their duration and associated impacts.

On one of the evenings, a local resident approached the working crews to highlight her concerns, and Kilkenny County Council later published a notice of intention to reschedule the remainder of the works.

The local authority now advise, on behalf of Shareridge Utilities Ltd, that Ladyswell Street in Thomastown "will be closed to vehicular traffic from Monday (February 16) to Sunday (February 22) daily from 8am to 9pm approximately, for installation of water and sewerage connections."

The local authority further stated that diversions shall be in operation and signposted and delays can be expected.

"Kilkenny County Council appreciates your co-operation and apologise for any inconvenience caused," the local authority concluded.
