Kilkenny Tennis Club has hosted a highly successful fundraiser in support of 25 Loreto students who will travel to Chicago to compete in the prestigious Public Access to Law (PAL) World Final this November.

The Tennis Club event saw 45 enthusiastic tennis players engage in spirited tennis battles across three levels and grades.

Great weather allowed players and attendees to enjoy dining al fresco, adding to the festive atmosphere.

PAL is an event where a mock legal trail is debated by the participants in a competitive manner, as if it were a real trial. The Loreto students, whose dedication and hard work have earned them a spot in the world final, expressed their gratitude for the overwhelming support.

“This fundraiser not only helps us financially but also boosts our confidence as we prepare to represent our school and country on a global stage,” said a Loreto PAL team member.

Tennis Club Captain Brian Doyle also praised the event’s success.

“We are incredibly proud to support these young athletes,” he said. “The turnout and community spirit were phenomenal, showcasing the best of what Kilkenny has to offer.”

Sponsorship from Beauchamps, Langton’s House Hotel and Restaurant, and Poe Kiely Hogan ensured the event’s success, highlighting the community’s commitment to supporting the talented Loreto PAL team. Thanks also to the tennis players and parents of Loreto students who contributed so generously to the fundraising event.
