LATEST: Major road reopens in Kilkenny, but motorists asked to avoid another!
Storm Éowyn has left its mark on Kilkenny
The R700 between Thomastown and Inistioge in County Kilkenny has reopened.
A large tree had completely blocked the road on the outskirts of Thomastown.
The update was confirmed by Cllr Deirdre Cullen.
Meanwhile, motorists are being asked to avoid the main road through Bennettsbridge, linking it to Kilkenny City and Thomastown.
A tree brought down power lines in the village and experts have been called in to deal with the danger.
