Major change in weather forecast by Met Eireann for the weekend
Ireland's weather is gearing up for a change, as mild temperatures gradually make way for a cooler phase.
According to Met Eireann, the country can expect cooler temperatures as the week advances, setting the stage for a weekend characterised by rain and drizzle.
Heading into the weekend, the weather will bring a mix of sunny intervals and scattered heavy showers on both Friday and Saturday.
However, Saturday night will witness a shift as more persistent rain traverses the country.
This will lead to a damp and overcast start on Sunday, which is expected to gradually improve as the day progresses.
