Man hospitalised following assault in broad daylight in Kilkenny

Gardaí in Kilkenny are appealing for witnesses to an assault in the city centre on Friday afternoon.
The attack took place on Patrick Street between 3 and 3.30pm. The injured party, a male in his fifties attended St Luke' Hospital in Kilkenny where he received treatment for his injuries.
Gardaí are following a definite line of inquiry and are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or who was in the area and has dashcam footage to contact Kilkenny gardaí.
