New Kilkenny healthcare centre receives planning permission from council

Kilkenny County Council made the decision at the beginning of July
Kilkenny County Council have granted planning permission to Westcourt Healthcare (Graiguenamanagh) Ltd for the construction of a new Primary Healthcare Centre.
The proposed development includes a two-storey healthcare building and a separate single-storey service building with an ESB substation and service yard.
The plans also provide for a gas storage compound, an extension of the existing access road and footpath from the Graiguenamanagh Relief Road (R705), as well as car and bicycle parking, a drop-off area, public lighting, sustainable drainage and water supply works. Landscaping, boundary treatments, signage and other site development works are also included.
The new centre will provide HSE health and social care services, along with dental and GP services, and will include meeting rooms, administrative offices, staff facilities, reception areas and other supporting accommodation.
The permission may be subject to certain conditions from Kilkenny County Council.
