Underage talents like Ivan Bolger, Rory Garrett and Conor McMahon have been handed an opportunity by Lyng and are named to play alongside regulars such as Eoin Cody and Mikey Carey in the pre-season competition match scheduled for 2pm in Rathdowney on Sunday.

The match was originally due to be played in The Downs but was moved to St Loman's GAA grounds in Mullingar following a pitch inspection.

However, upon arrival, Kilkenny's medical team in consultation with match officials deemed the club's 3G pitch to be unsuitable to play on. - MORE DETAILS HERE
