It was a London Marathon to remember for a number of Kilkenny City Harriers (KCH) athletes, none more so than Peter Lynch.

Lynch smashed the national record, and in some time, clocking a time of 2:06:08 as he finished ninth in the London Marathon.

The 28-year-old crossed the line in ninth place and was the first European finisher, taking over three minutes off his previous best of 2:09:36.
