Planning application lodged for new padel court in County Kilkenny

Kilmacow Community Sports Complex Company Ltd have lodged a planning application with Kilkenny County Council for the erection of a new enclosed padel court, associated lighting and associated works at the Kilmacow Sports Complex in the South Kilkenny village.
A decision is expected by Kilkenny County Council in the coming weeks and could be subject to conditions.
Meanwhile, planning permission was granted to Gowran Park Race Company Ltd, subject to 18 conditions, for the construction of a new Padel Centre of Excellence in Gowran.
The development will consist of Padel Courts and all associated indoor facilities, including refreshment areas, breakout spaces, changing facilities and a reception area on the ground floor level.
For the construction of one external Padel court. The development will be accessed via the existing entrance to the north of the racecourse and golf course and will include the construction of new parking facilities to serve the development and the construction of a new storm water drainage system in compliance with SUDS directives, for connection to the existing on-site foul sewer network and public water main, and for all associated site development works.
