RIP: Man of integrity with 'heart of gold' laid to rest in Kilkenny

From this week's Kilkenny People
The death has occurred of Michael Sheil, Kiltown, Castlecomer, County Kilkenny.
He was a character so highly regarded and respected by all in the community. A man of integrity, he had a heart of gold.
Michael, who was so kind and considerate, had a great grá for all things nature.
He loved the banter especially in the Corner House where, at the drop of a hat, he would break into song, mostly accompanied by his brother Eddie.
He worked locally in the agricultural and horticultural sectors and took great pride in his work - the last day’s work was always as good as the first.
He was a caring neighbour to many families in the Kiltown area and was never found wanting whenever the call came be it night or day.
Burial was in Crosshill Cemetery after Requiem Mass celebrated in the Church of the Immaculate Conception by his neighbour Fr Ian Doyle, Associate Priest Castlecomer assisted by Fr Richard Scriven, PP Castlecomer.
Predeceased by his mother Sarah, father Patrick, partner Theresa, sisters Kathleen, Mary, Sarah, Theresa, Esther, and Patricia.
Michael is survived by his brother Edward (Carlow), sisters Anna (Monasterevin), Bernadette (Wales) and Philomena (England), nieces and nephews, other relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.
