Val Malone, a lifelong Village Man is celebrating his 80th birthday.
The Village stalwart served as Public Relations Officer (PRO) with the club for decades.

Although unable to attend games in recent times, Val still remains a vocal supporter of Village teams and would have been particularly delighted to see the city team secure their return to senior hurling in 2026.
“Our biggest supporter celebrating a very special birthday,” the club posted to social media.
“HAPPY BIRTHDAY Val from all in James Stephens GAA & Camogie Club.”
