The fourth annual Great Wheelbarrow Parade is back in Thomastown this St Patrick's Day at 12pm.

Everyone - groups, individuals, clubs, businesses - is welcome to take part in the community event to mark the national day.

Registration takes place in the Quay Carpark from 11.15 on the day. Entry is free.

It’s no surprise that in a town as creative as Thomastown, the parade is very colourful and in previous years, wheelbarrows were decked out in everything from aeroplanes to flower gardens to giant snakes.

The parade will travel from the quay car park along Low Street and up Market street before circling back to the car park for prize giving.

Presenter Sue Nunn will MC the event and there will be a panel of judges to pick the winners. It looks set to be a fun, relaxed and inclusive event so come along and enjoy St Patrick's day in Thomastown.
