Three Kilkenny urban areas to benefit from Town Team and Support Fund

Three urban areas in County Kilkenny have been chosen to receive funding to either help establish or develop a Town Team.
The areas chosen were Castlecomer, Callan and Mooncoin.
Cllr John Brennan has warmly welcomed the initiative in his local town of Castlecomer.
“It is a great boost,” he said. “It will also create excellent opportunities for the Castlecomer area in terms of funding and developments that we can work on together as a team as we look towards the future.”
The aim of the funding is to breathe new life into town centres.
A total of 68 towns will be supported nationwide.
