Two Kilkenny organisations certified to 'world class' business standards

NSAI (The National Standards Authority of Ireland) has recognised two organisations from the commercial, public, and SME sectors for their recent achievement in obtaining certification to world-class business standards.
Asgard Modular Manufacturing and Carlow Kilkenny Energy Agency Limited both got the accolade.
NSAI Auditors independently audited organisations that received certification to ensure they met the requirements of International Standards.
They join an elite group of organisations that have received NSAI certification for Quality Management, Environmental Management, Occupational Health and Safety Management, Food Safety Management and Energy Management Systems.
Damien English, Minister of State for Business, Employment and Retail, praised the organisations on their efforts.
“These companies represent the vibrant and innovative business community that exists across Ireland today," he said.
"By internationalising their offering they are playing an increasingly important role in creating jobs and growing the Irish economy.
“At a time of increased globalisation, it is essential for Irish industry to be as competitive as it can be. I want to congratulate every organisation for achieving certification to international standards, which will give them a competitive advantage in the marketplace - both at home and abroad.”
NSAI Chief Executive Geraldine Larkin said: “Achieving certification to world class business standards can benefit business in a variety of ways.
“Certification can grow an organisation’s knowledge and skills across a wide range of areas, boosting efficiency and helping to mitigate risk.
“I am delighted to see the high level of commitment shown by the companies and organisations who have been certified.
“It is very encouraging to see so many companies across the country are committed to working towards best practice. They continue to demonstrate that Irish based companies can compete at the highest level,” she added.
