Incidents of flooding due to heavy rainfall are continuing to grow across Co Kilkenny.

The Ballyfoyle Road on the outskirts of Kilkenny City is currently impassible due to severe flooding in the area.

In South Kilkenny, Kilkenny Live has been told conditions in Glenmore village have 'worsened considerably' in the past hour, while the townsland of Rahora in Tullogher and the R704, Listerlin to Tullogher road are both believed to be experiencing severe flooding.

Elsewhere, parts of Callan are also being impacted by the adverse weather conditions and a council spokesperson has confirmed sandbags are available to businesses and members of the public who require them.
