‘Absolutely delightful’ - Praise for family’s clean-up after Waterford camping trip
Cllr Jim Griffin took to social media to commend the clean-up effort on the Waterford site
A local councillor has praised a family’s clean-up efforts after they camped in County Waterford last weekend.
Sinn Féin councillor Jim Griffin took to social media after he discovered that a local site had been left spotless by the family.
In the post on Facebook, Cllr Griffin wrote: “A massive family gathering took place at this campsite over the weekend at Saleen, I would imagine.
“The kids’ laughter [could be] heard from our house all weekend, especially on Sunday night on our return from the Spraoi fireworks.
“It was astonishing to see this morning how clean the place was left. Absolutely delightful to see considering the amount of tents I saw all weekend.”
He said that just one small AA battery had been left behind by the family.
Cllr Griffin concluded by saying that coming across the cleaned up site had “brightened up” his morning.
