ALERT: Road on Waterford/Kilkenny border set for seven week closure!

A road will be closed for 7 weeks on the Waterford/Kilkenny border to allow deep excavation work. 

The next phase of road infrastructure works will proceed to the Abbey Road area in Ferrybank as part of the delivery of the next phase of North Quays Public Infrastructure.

Deep excavation work on Abbey Road necessitates a temporary road closure. 

To minimise disruption, these works have been scheduled during the school summer holidays and local access will be facilitated. 

From June 28 to August 16 2024, Abbey Road will be closed and traffic will be diverted to the N29/Port Road. 

Drivers have been urged to please follow all directional signage and utilise designated pedestrian crossings.
