Appeal issued after ‘beautiful scenic area’ in Waterford ‘spoiled’ by illegal dumping

Waterford City and County Council issued the appeal in a post on social media
An appeal has been issued after a “beautiful scenic area” in County Waterford was “spoiled” by illegal dumping.
Waterford City and County Council issued the appeal in response to dumping in the car park at Benvoy Beach.
In a post on Facebook, a council spokesperson said: “This beautiful scenic area has once again been spoiled by illegal dumping, and we're asking for your help.
“Do you recognise this striking avocado bathroom suite? Have you seen anyone in the area who may have been acting suspiciously, in possession of a retro-avocado bathroom suite?
“Even the smallest piece of information could help identify those involved.”
They went on to appeal for anyone with information to make it available to the council.
“If you have any information, please report it to Waterford City and County Council Environment Department by calling 0818 10 20 20 or email [email protected].
“All information will be treated in confidence. Let's work together to protect our countryside and keep these special places clean for everyone to enjoy.”
The council spokesperson concluded by asking for people to share the Facebook past.
