A local councillor has said he is “deeply disappointed” by damage to a vacant property in Waterford city.
Fianna Fáil councillor Eamon Quinlan addressed the damage done to the house in Dominic’s Place in a recent post on social media.
In the Facebook post, Cllr Quinlan wrote: “Deeply disappointed to see the current damage done to 72 Dominics Place.
“A property, too long left vacant, only attracting trouble and distressing locals. I have contacted council authorities this evening about getting the property made safe and secure.”
“Ultimately, only a renovation and placing a family in situ will solve this long term,” he concluded.
