Plans have been revealed to convert a petrol station in Waterford city into a restaurant.
A planning application has been submitted for the redevelopment of Grand Bazaar Waterford on the Cork Road.
The shop is located beside the Farrell’s Autoport Suzuki garage, across the road from the South East Technological University (SETU) campus.
The development would see the building undergo a change of use from shop to restaurant.
New signage would be installed on the front and side of the existing building.
As well as that, it is proposed that 12 new parking spaces would be put in place at the rear of the building.
The application was submitted by Piers Motors Ltd on June 10 and is currently at the pre-validation stage.
If deemed valid, a decision by Waterford City and County Council is expected by August 4.
