South Quays Plaza in Waterford city to open to public ‘in coming days’

The South Quays Plaza in Waterford city will open to the public “in the coming days”, the local authority has said.

Waterford City and County Council made the announcement in a post on social media this afternoon.

In the Facebook post, a council spokesperson said: “We are pleased to announce that the South Quays Plaza will open to the public in the coming days.

“While the majority of the works have been completed, a small number of minor snagging and finishing works remain ongoing.

“These works will be carefully managed to minimise disruption, however some temporary restrictions may apply in certain areas.”

“Waterford City and County Council appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation while these final works are completed.”

They concluded by saying that the plaza will be a “welcoming and vibrant public amenity” for the people of Waterford.
