Commenting on this year's finalists, Ray English, Chair of WorldSkills Ireland, said: "WorldSkills Ireland is a celebration of talent and a vital platform for promoting apprenticeship and skills-based career opportunities. This year, students and apprentices from across the country will compete in 35 different skill areas, each working to exacting standards and under time pressure.

"It's an incredible opportunity to showcase their abilities and, for some, take the next step towards representing Ireland on the world stage."

The event runs alongside the Irish Times Higher Options expo, giving students a chance to explore both academic and skills-based pathways in one visit. As well as the live competitions, visitors can experience interactive 'Try a Skill' zones, VR demonstrations, and talks from industry leaders, with major employers on hand to meet students.

WorldSkills Ireland 2025 is supported by leading industry partners including SISK, Construction Industry Federation and ESB Networks, along with government and Apprenticeship Ireland.

The finals will take place on Friday, September 19, when Ireland's top young tradespeople and apprentices will be crowned.
