There will be some good spells of sunshine in Waterford today

Waterford is set for a mixed bag of weather this week, with Met Éireann forecasting sunshine and heavy rain.

Today will be one of this week’s better days weather wise, with some good spells of sunshine and highest temperatures of 23ºC.

However, it will get cloudier as the day goes on, with occasionally moderate east or southeast winds.

It will mostly dry tonight and milder than recent nights, with lowest temperatures of 15ºC.

Tomorrow will be mostly cloudy but will remain warm, with maximum temperatures of 23ºC again expected.

Met Éireann is forecasting the arrival of rain that evening, which is due to become heavier and more widespread as nighttime approaches.

The showers will continue throughout Tuesday night and into the next morning, although they will get lighter as Wednesday afternoon approaches.

Those showers will give way to sunny spells on Wednesday afternoon and evening, with highest temperatures of 19ºC.

However, more rain will be on the way on Thursday, with Met Éireann forecasting heavy showers in the morning and early afternoon.

Friday will be similarly showery, although some sunny spells are expected in the morning and afternoon.

Overall, a changeable week with spells of good sunshine and some heavy showers.
