Hornchurch see off Scunthorpe thanks to Ryan Inniss header
Hornchurch ended a run of three straight defeats.
Ryan Inniss’ second-half header was enough for Hornchurch to claim a 1-0 National League win over Scunthorpe.
Hornchurch, coming off three straight defeats, threatened early on when Aaron Rowe’s cross from the right was well met by Josh Walker, but his effort was superbly tipped over by Maison Campbell.
Scunthorpe then went close as Tyrell Sellars-Fleming saw his strike come back off the post.
Hornchurch themselves hit the upright early in the second half through Rowe, but made the breakthrough with 20 minutes left when Sam Ling sent in a long throw which was flicked on before Inniss headed home at the back post.
