Wycombe got back to winning ways with a 2-0 victory at home to Notts County.
Goals from Jack Grimmer and Fred Onyedinma ensured a positive a reaction to the Chairboys’ defeat against Luton last weekend.
After Cauley Woodrow saw his effort go over the crossbar, the home side got their breakthrough just two minutes before the interval.
Grimmer fired home from 20 yards to add to his consolation effort against the Hatters.
Connor Taylor saw his header from a Caolan Boyd-Munce free-kick tipped over by James Belshaw after 52 minutes.
A Josh Scowan curler in the 72nd minute was turned away well by Belshaw as Wycombe looked hungry for a second.
After being second-best in the tie for so long, Notts County visibly went up a gear and showed much more intensity.
However, any thoughts of a late comeback were dashed four minutes from time when a Boyd-Munce corner was flicked on by Daniel Harvie for Onyedinma to head home. It was no more than the home side deserved.
