IN PICTURES: Derry reception honours ‘vital and compassionate’ Inclusion Homeless Health Team

The reception also highlighted the importance of partnership working between health and housing services in supporting some of the most vulnerable members of the community

The Mayor of Derry City and Strabane District Council hosted a Civic Reception in the Guildhall to recognise the work of the Inclusion Homeless Health Team. During the event, members of the team were presented with a crystal plaque in acknowledgment of their vital and compassionate service to people experiencing homelessness and their valuable contribution to the Western Health and Social Care Trust. The reception also highlighted the importance of partnership working between health and housing services in supporting some of the most vulnerable members of the community.

Mayor McHugh said he was delighted to honour such an important team and thanked them for all the hard work they do, “This team goes above and beyond every day to provide care with dignity, respect, and humanity, often in the most challenging circumstances. Their dedication, alongside the strong partnership working with housing and health colleagues, is a powerful example of what can be achieved when services come together with a shared purpose.”
