Big Brother success marks new chapter for Derry’s Jenny Baird at civic reception

The Mayor of Derry City and Strabane District Council, Cllr Ruairí McHugh, hosted a civic reception in honour of local woman, Jenny Baird, to celebrate her success in reaching the final of ITV’s hit show Big Brother at the end of last year. The event was attended by local councillor Patricia Logue, along with Jenny’s friends and family, who gathered to mark the occasion in a warm and celebratory atmosphere. Congratulating Jenny on her achievement, Mayor McHugh praised her for representing the area on a national stage, saying, “Jenny’s journey has been followed with great pride by people across our district, and her achievement is a testament to her character, resilience, and authenticity. I’d like to say a huge congratulations to Jenny and I wish her every success as she takes the next steps in her future.”
