A full house of 165 local women attended Mid Ulster District Council’s Women’s Wellness event last night, Wednesday, March 25 at The Royal Hotel, Cookstown.
The sold-out event included speakers, Julie McCammon, Physiotherapist, Myofascial Release Therapist, Bodymind Coach and Author; Mary Angela, The Mummy Physios, specialists in women’s health physiotherapy; and Suzie Lee, Chef, winner of BBC's Best Home Cook 2020, and advocate for women’s wellbeing, with Carol Doey as MC.
Speaking at the event, Deputy Chair of the Council, Councillor Denise Johnston, said: “Mid Ulster District Council is proud to host this Women’s Wellness event, which reflects our ongoing commitment to promoting the health, wellbeing, and empowerment of women and girls right across our community.
“The event programme has been carefully designed to inspire and inform, supporting emotional, physical, and nutritional wellbeing. We are delighted to welcome a number of expert speakers who are passionate about helping women feel stronger, healthier, and more confident in their everyday lives.”
All money raised from the event will go to Causeway and Mid Ulster Women’s Aid, Marie Curie and Hope4U.y
