A selection of the candidates for Mid Ulster.
Michelle O'Neill (Sinn Féin)
The Deputy First Minister needs little in the way of introduction. First elected as a councillor to Torrent in 2005, Sinn Féin's Northern leader topped the Mid Ulster poll in 2017 with 10,258 first preferences.
She was first elected to Stormont in 2007 after polling fourth with 14.5% of the vote and was re-elected in 2011 and 2016.
Forced into resignation after the DUP's Paul Givan resigned his First Minister role, O'Neill is likely to once again poll strongly.
