Stephanie Quigley (Independent)
Elected to Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council as an SDLP councillor, Stephanie Quigley left the party in 2020, citing their position on abortion as her reason for leaving.
The independent councillor has built up a base in the Coleraine electoral ward, where she polled the second highest number of first preference votes in both 2014 and 2019.
One of three independent candidates in the crowded East Derry field, she has been increasingly vocal in challenging Council decisions since leaving the SDLP.
