Cara Hunter (SDLP)
After being co-opted to East Derry following the death of John Dallat in May 2020, Cara Hunter is facing into her first Assembly election.
The Portrush native polled an encouraging 6,158 (15%) in the 2019 Westminster election, finishing a distant second to constituency behemoth Gregory Campbell of the DUP.
Cross-community transfers took her predecessor over the line in 2017 and Hunter will be looking to build on the work she has done in the constituency in the interim.
