“The Annual Family event, with participants from all age ranges, completely embodies everything John stood for - family, community, running and supporting his GAA Club,” Malin GAA posted.
“It gives us time to remember the man he was, with friends & family coming together along with not just Malin GAA members but GAA members from all over Inishowen.
“Thank you to everyone who helped organise this fantastic event again this year. Thanks to our stewards, Garda Eamonn Ward, refreshment providers, anyone who donated food, our first aiders and many more.
“Special thanks to our sponsors Ciaran and Danielle McKenna, Davy McLaughlin, Inishowen Food Solutions and the Diamond Cafe for sponsoring refreshments. Thanks to Inishowen AC and Brendan McDaid, who annually help us pull off this fantastic event. And a massive thanks to Byrne Seafoods and Noel and Rosaleen McLaughlin (R) for sponsoring the prizes across the various categories.”
Oran O’Hare won the men’s event with a time of 16:37, ahead of John J Duffy and Billy Hime, with the female race seeing Esme Cameron first home in 21:37, followed by Eilish Bell and Anne Marie Ballantine.
