Mary Rose, who passed away last August, was a former Lady Captain of the Station House Golf Society, previously known as the Drum Bar Golf Society, and worked for the Donegal Democrat/Donegal People's Press office at Larkin House and Cristeph Gallery at Convent Road.
Speaking on behalf of the family, Mary Rose's husband Owney said: "The Station House Golf Society, Mary Rose loved it. It was her second family. I remember once she forced me to go to a prizegiving, imagine forcing me to go to a pub as we met some of the best friends."

"It's very difficult for me to read this, professional or not," read Marty Friel from Highland Radio, a close personal friend of the Dullaghan family, who was MC for the night. "Mary Rose, our dear friend, we gather here tonight, almost a year has passed since we lost this shining light. Yet her spirit and kindness continue to be with us each day, reminding us of the profound impact she had on us. He held a special place in all of our hearts and her heart was so generous, so loving and so full of life. She had a unique ability to make everyone feel special, to bring a smile to our faces and to infect us with her joy.
"It's no wonder we're here in such unbelievable numbers. She would be really pleased to be here to see the love that fills this room. The charities' support has been a beacon to so many. Tonight is a fitting tribute to her. Mary Rose's kindness can be seen in her children and her grandchildren and Oweny has been a source of strength and resilience - keep doing what you're doing. Thanks to everyone who helped out tonight in any way. She will be forever remembered and loved. Mary Rose inspiration to us all."
Before signing off with a rendition of Hills of Glenswilly, Brian Kelly, captain of the Station House Golf Society, added: "The golf society were approached and took this on and Paddy Delap and Cathal Sheridan in particular. Everyone got behind them and gave as much as they could. Then Clare (nee Neely, Mary Rose's daughter-in-law) came on board and I only thought I was a captain! She modernised us and helped us open doors we never opened out before. Well done Clare. Thanks to every sponsor. Every one of us has made this special. The Dullaghan people must be very proud tonight."
