Packed crowd and dancing at Up For The Match event
The Abbey Hotel in Donegal Town welcomed Four Masters GAA in the lead up to the All-Ireland Senior Football Final, featuring several local GAA legends, live music, and a performance of Irish Dancing. Click on the arrows to see snapshots of a wonderful evening.
An Up for the Match - All Ireland Final Special lived up to its promises of being a memorable night for supporters of all ages. Local MC, Rory O’Donnell, hosted the event, with St Eunan’s and Donegal legend, Brendan Devenney, leading the panel interviews.
Among the guests included Four Masters clubmen and former Donegal players Barry Monaghan, Barry Dunnion, Paul Durcan, and Joyce McMullin, as well as St Naul’s Stephen Griffin and Naomh Bríd’s Matt Gallagher.
Chairperson of Donegal GAA, Mary Coughlan, also attended, as she spoke about the team’s preparations.
Well-known sports journalist Michael Clifford, fondly known as the “Kerryman in Donegal,” brought a Kerry perspective to the evening.
An online post by the Abbey Hotel stated: “We are delighted to welcome Four Masters GAA and so many wonderful guests as excitement builds ahead of the big match.
“The atmosphere has been incredible, with superb live music, brilliant dancing, fantastic special guests, and a real sense of community spirit throughout the hotel.
