Pleanáil Teanga na Rosann, represented by May Molloy and Mary O'Brien and Daniel O’Donnell, presented Joe with the Gradam Gnó Award in recognition of his Irish-language signage, marketing, and his efforts to speak Irish with customers.
Mary O’Brien said the strong attendance reflected the loyalty and support Joe receives from the local community.
Joe is never slow to say “Sé do bheatha”, and his love for Gaeilge is visible throughout the shop. He values every customer and always has “Go raibh maith agat” on the tip of his tongue - proof that a simple thank you really does go a long way.

Téann “Buíochas” simplí i bhfad i gcúrsaí gnó.
Léirigh Joe Gallagher ó XL Leitir Mhic Aodha a bhuíochas do chustaiméirí trí imeacht Nollag a óstáil Dé Máirt, 23 Nollaig, i gcroílár na Gaeltachta ag Geata na Rosann.
Tháinig teaghlaigh i láthair i sluaite chun bualadh le Daidí na Nollag, taitneamh a bhaint as earraí saor in aisce, agus féachaint ar thaispeántas tinte ealaíne féile.
Bhronn Pleanáil Teanga na Rosann, arna hionadú ag May Molloy & Mary O’Brien agus Daniel O’Donnell, Gradam Gnó ar Joe mar aitheantas ar a chomharthaíocht, a mhargaíocht i nGaeilge, agus a chuid iarrachtaí chun Gaeilge a labhairt le custaiméirí.
Dúirt Mary O’Brien gur léirigh an slua mór an dílseacht agus an tacaíocht a fhaigheann Joe ón bpobal áitiúil. Ní bhíonn Joe mall riamh “Sé do bheatha” a rá, agus tá a ghrá don Gaeilge le feiceáil ar fud an tsiopa. Tá meas aige ar gach custaiméir agus bíonn “Go raibh maith agat” ar bharr a theanga i gcónaí — cruthúnas go dtéann buíochas simplí i bhfad i ndáiríre.
