GALLERY: Part Two: A photographic tour of Donegal - through the lens of lockdown

This is the second part of Barry McNulty's fantastic series

Caves of Maghera: A kilometre past Assaranca you'll find Maghera strand with the Maghera caves beneath the Slievetooey mountains. We were only in a handful of caves, which go back a bit as seen above, but there are said to be over 20 caves, 8 arches and five tunnels, but most are only really accessible by kayak. There is also some local folklore of a massacre said to have happened nearby, some say committed by Cromwell but there's no evidence he travelled this far north, so more likely by vikings.
