GALLERY: Part Two: A photographic tour of Donegal - through the lens of lockdown

This is the second part of Barry McNulty's fantastic series

Fort Dunree: One of the coolest locations in Donegal in my opinion! From the little drawbridge to the gun batteries. One of seven forts built along the Swilly during the Naloleanic war, with Fort Dunree itself built after Wolfe Tone tried to land in Buncrana with a French fleet in 1798 as part of the United Irishmen Rebellion. Lough Swilly has had strategic importance due to its depth and during WWI the British fleet guarding the North Sea anchored there.
