Festive fever has taken a firm grip in Ballyshannon where the town is looking quite beautiful - boosted by the spectacular Christmas lights display which was officially switched on at the weekend.
Local athlete Lucy McGlynn who represented Ireland at the World U-20 Athletics Championships in Columbia earlier this year, switched on the lights - rounding off a memorable year for the talented Coláiste Cholmcille pupil.
And while Lucy can look forward to plenty more success on the sporting front, the children who got to meet Santa at Saturday's event are now looking forward to the big day itself.
Santa has a big hello for one of the children at Saturday's event in Ballyshannon
They certainly got into the Christmas cheer, helped by the beautiful singing of the local choir and there was music and entertainment provided too by the Ballyshannon Samba band and the Ballyshannon Brass and Reed band.
A big well done to everyone involved and thanks to the efforts of the local chamber, shops and business owners, Ballyshannon is looking quite spectacular under the lights of Christmas.
