Seven things: You know you’re from Donegal when …

This list aims to encompass some of the things that are ingrained in Donegal people, or at least heavily associated

‘Seven Things’ aims to explore the different things about Donegal and highlight the fascinating features of each. Please use the arrows to explore all things Donegal

The elements are not listed in order of importance and are not an all-inclusive list. The list indicates what each place, person or event offers, the various attractions, unique points, people and places worth knowing or remembering, hidden gems and an exploration of all things Donegal!

This list depicts the things that just make you aware you’re in Donegal, whether it be the distinct accent, terminology, the lack of transport, peculiar treats, cultural traditions or the landscape, it’s just a bit different overall and that’s what we’re here to explore today.

Needless to say, the county differs vastly from place to place, but overall there’s certainly a distinctive feel about Donegal as a whole. This ‘seven things’ intends to capture the essence of Donegal, what reminds natives of home and as well as what we’re known for as a county!
