Junior A Championship: Guide through the 11 clubs hoping to win county glory

Eleven teams will participate in the Junior A championship this season and hope to replicate what Na Rossa did last season, following their success in the county final against Moville. But who will come out on top in 2024

NAOMH ULTAN

Manager: Patrick White

Last year championship: Lost in JFC quarter-finals

This year ACFL: Finished up in seventh place in Division 3.

First two opponents: Naomh Padraig Leifeir (a); Naomh Padraig Uisce Chaoin (h)

Prospects: Despite being competitive and winning their first two league games at home, the Dunkineely men would lose their next three games and fail to ever make the conversation of a team pushing for promotion. However, with a number of young minors who won Division 2 with Killybegs last year, they will be hoping to have greater numbers for a championship push. The seniors will take positives knowing that all the games they lost were done so by the smallest of margins, while they also knocked up so high scores in big wins.

Star man: Cian Kennedy
