Junior A Championship: Guide through the 11 clubs hoping to win county glory

Eleven teams will participate in the Junior A championship this season and hope to replicate what Na Rossa did last season, following their success in the county final against Moville. But who will come out on top in 2024

NAOMH PADRAIG LIFFORD

Manager: Gerard Porter

Last year's championship: Failed to get out of the group stage

This year ACFL: Finished 11th in Division 3

First two opponents: Naomh Ultan (h); Naomh Padraig Uisce Chaoin (a)

Prospects: It’s going to be a big ask for a side who only managed two league wins this season in Division 3 and conceded double the number of scores as they scored. The big thing for the Lifford men is to try and find a level of consistency that was not present in the league and aim to be competitive. Naomh Padraig recorded their first Junior championship win since 2011 last season, so unless there is a massive change in form, they look unlikely to be a side that will be pushing for the big prize.

Star man: Brian Breslin
