Junior A Championship: Guide through the 11 clubs hoping to win county glory

Eleven teams will participate in the Junior A championship this season and hope to replicate what Na Rossa did last season, following their success in the county final against Moville. But who will come out on top in 2024

CARNDONAGH

Manager: Michael O'Donnell

Last year championship: Failed to make it out of the group stage

This year ACFL: Won Division 3

First two opponents: Pettigo (a); Naomh Colmcille (h)

Prospects: Despite making the Junior championship final in 2022, the Carndonagh men took a few steps back last season but were perhaps the stars of the league as they clinched the Division 3 title in dramatic fashion against Naomh Mhuire Convoy last month. No doubt they will hope to go one step further now and give the championship a real push now that Conor O'Donnell is back after county duty. They are a real difficult team to break down highlighting the second-best defense in the league this season with the second-lowest conceded tally.

Star man: Conor O’Donnell
