Intermediate Championship team by team guide: Set to be as tight as ever

Twelve teams will participate in the Donegal Intermediate Championship, which gets underway this weekend, but who will be the last side standing as we scan through each team

BUNCRANA

Manager: Gary Duffy

Last year championship: Lost in quarter-finals.

This year ACFL: Promoted in second place but lost Division 2 final to Four Masters

First two opponents: Letterkenny Gaels (a); Na Rossa (h).

Prospects: There was again disappointment for Buncrana at the quarter-final stage of the championship last year. After getting promoted to Division 1, getting to a semi-final, at least, will be on their agenda this year. Having Caolan McGonagle back will help and they will also hope Darach O’Connor can play some part. Will be among the favourites.

Star man: Caolan McGonagle.
