Good Friday at the Curragh Racecourse in Kildare

The Curragh Racecourse celebrated a landmark moment recently, with the hugely successful inaugural Good Friday Raceday, drawing exceptional crowds and an atmosphere that showcased the very best of Irish racing.

The energy across the grandstand and parade ring was electric, as families, racing fans, and holidaymakers embraced this brand‑new fixture on the racing calendar.

The strong attendance, vibrant engagement, and overwhelmingly positive feedback mark a powerful start for what will hopefully become a standout event at Ireland’s home of the Classics.

The winner of the feature race The Irish Stallion Farms EBF Park Express Stakes of €100,000 was Celestial Orbit, owned by JP Magnier & Mrs Paul Shanahan & Mrs V Magnier & K MacLennan, trained by Joseph O'Brien with Joey Sheridan as the jockey.
