Club Chairman, Aodhan Ó Ruairc presents former Football Manager, Jim Mulvin with a framed picture
On Saturday, December 2, James Stephens GAA Club held an evening full of nostalgia in the Larchfield Clubhouse as club members and supporters paid tribute to numerous victorious 'Village' teams over the past number of years.
A successful period for the club's gaelic football teams in the 1990s and 2000s were amongst the teams honoured, with manager and guest of honour, Jim Mulvin, lifting the lid on life with the team, telling many untold and humerous stories from a golden era in James Stephens gaelic football history.
A star-studded line-up of guests and attendees on the night included, former Meath Football Manager, Sean Boylan, former President of the Camogie Association, Catherine Neary and current James Stephens Senior Manager, Brian Cody.
The function also paid due recognition to the Junior Hurling champions of 2000 captained by Fran Whelan, the U21 Championship kings of 2000 and 2002 led by captains Paddy O'Brien and Gary Whelan respectively and the Junior Camogie champions of 2002 spearheaded on the field by Maggie Moran.
