From April 12 to April 19, dancers across the world took part in the Irish Dancing World Championships in Killarney.
The Lynam School of Irish Dancing in Laois took home many awards and titles.

Stradbally dancer Bobby Kinsella retained his world title in the Boys u/11 category.
Laoise Delaney from The Rock won first place in a solo reel, and placed third overall in the u/15 girls category, beating over 169 competitors.
Her sister Rioghan Delaney placed ninth overall in the u/13 girls category, out of 168 dancers.Darragh Kelly, from Borris-in-Ossory, placed 8th overall in the boys u/17 category, dancing a year out of age.
Zara Culleton, from Mountmellick, also achieved a top ten position overall, placing 9th in her Championship u/13 out of 148 competitors.
The Lynam school had further championship success, with dancers placing in their respective age groups.Alexandra Wright- 12th overall u/21

Chloe Mc Donald, Tina Bergin, Mary Kate Moore & Anabel Lanham performed 2 excellent rounds.
