There was a special guest at the Palm Sunday procession in Rosenallis over the weekend with Jenny the donkey joining  parishioners for the annual event. The procession went between the two churches of St Brigid, with Fr. Tom Walsh and Rev. Lesley Robinson leading prayers and reading the Gospel of the Palms.

Members of both congregations were joined on the day by Jenny the donkey, who "behaved so well" according to the organisers. Jenny is owned by local man James Conroy and was led by Laura Meredith.

The group said: "The rain dampened everything except our spirits this morning in Rosenallis as we had our Palm Sunday procession between the two churches of St. Brigid. Special thanks to Jenny the donkey for making a star appearance and behaving so well!"

Take a look at some of the photos captured of the procession by Esther Bastow and Linda Shaw.
